One of the reasons tbsatdh is so good is also cause the costume and makeup department just did a really good job. The characters all just look like real people to me. They're not wearing tons of makeup while on the run. Annalise doesn't have styled hair that hairspray holds into place. Everyone dresses like they're people with normal lives and different tastes that feel organic to their character. Like, is Gabriel's look kinda extra? Yes! But is that true to his character? Also yes!

A scene that I also feel like really shows this is when Annalise is at home and sneaking around in her fathers office. She's wearing her pyjamas but they're not some fancy conventionally sexy nightwear or anything, it's not even a matching set, she's just wearing a shirt and pants that look really comfortable! Like yes!!! This is what people wear at home on a normal wednesday evening!!!

I think I sometimes forget how good it can be to see these normal looking people on screen because I've become so used to characters that look like they're starring in an advertisement rather than a show that's meant to be about people who you relate to.

So yeah, shoutout to the people who worked on tbsatdh and are responsible for this, I see you and I love you <3

everyone: treats nathan like he’s going to snap and start murdering people any day now for 16 years

everyone: insists nathan showing any kind of negative emotion is a sign he is Evil

everyone: isolates nathan and his family from the greater witch community

everyone: encourages or at least doesn’t stop nathan’s peers bullying him because he is not allowed to fight back or he’s evil

jessica: psychologically torments nathan their entire lives and also tries to straight up kill him w/ one of said peers

nathan: finally gets fed up and hurts two of his tormentors, because he is sixteen and he just Literally Almost Died
