I personally recommend avoiding any sidewalks bordering Greenwood Elementary from Memorial Day through the 4th of July.  Those big trees are full of crow nests, and they will pursue you for a block past the school if they are really riled up.

The crows tend to be silent when they are sitting on eggs, to not reveal the nest location to potential predators, but once the chicks are hatched, all the defensive tactics switch to being about a good offense.
