Snippet:
Amika watched them for a moment and tilted her head. Altara was not a morning person, until she had a coffee inside her, she was like a sleeping lion, best left alone until she felt more human. "How was your last contract? I heard rumours you made quite a mess." Illario said in conversation, pouring himself another coffee. Spite smirked, "Sending a message, necessary." He devoured what was on his plate and proceeded to go for seconds, Spite had a large appetite.
Dr Frances had theorised that his appetite had something to do with his high metabolism. something to do with why he healed faster than the average person, since sharing their story, since retelling their time in the ossuary and sharing their pain, Spite had become less withdrawn, more open to tests. Emmrich and Frances had gone out of their way to help him overcome his trauma.
Spite was the happiest he had ever been, more playful and affectionate, his temper and blood lust more contained. it was hard to believe he had ever been a spirit of the fade contained in a body, lashing out in anger and frustration at the confusing world he found himself in. now it was as if he had always been his own person, not a mage yet magically adept, able to do things a mage could only dream of.
The one thing Spite still struggled with was the staring, he was striking in appearance, his dark purple skin and glowing magenta eyes and sharp teeth made him rather intimidating but there was an ethereal beauty to him, an aura almost imperceptible floated around him, when angered the scent of ozone soon followed as if some part of the fade still lingered.
Amika stood abruptly, nearly knocking over her coffee cup in her rush to leave the dining hall. Illario chased after her in concern. it was the 3rd morning in a row she had done this.
