I love them.#they followed me home #mostly because I gave them peanuts from the car when I was driving back in from dropping off Jack #but Jack and I always do that #but they don't usually follow us all the way back to the tree right outside the house lol #they sat there and looked at me for a bit and then had a crow conference #which is when they all hang out in one spot like this and one crow makes a call and then the rest all yell in response #I've seen plenty of crow conferences in the ~18 years that I've been feeding this particular murder #but I've never once seen them do it in THAT tree and not ever after following me home lol #I tried to count just the ones visible in this photo and I think it's about 35. and there were a few more in trees and on rooftops nearby #I have a really horrible stressful day ahead of me and this was a fantastic treat to start out my day #sometimes you've just gotta stop and appreciate the little gifts the universe gives you #witchy things #paganism #2025 mood

I was inspired by a video by PricklyAlpaca on YT where she made a pumpkin witch costume, and was then struck with this idea for a crow witch. I haven't dabbled at all really in costume design before, but I had a lot of fun making this!

So…the Season of the Crow Witch begins before Halloween, probably the last full moon before Halloween. But, when does it end? I'd guess the first full moon after New Year's Day, but it could run all the way from the start of Autumn through the first sprigs of Spring.
