❛ and i thought i stood out a lot ... ❜ words that leave his mouth without full permission, much louder than he would’ve expected for a thinking out loud kind of situation too --- there’s no masking the surprisingly light level of annoyance in the sentence ( everyone knows fugo is quick to anger / him not blowing up over the annoying group of fans practically screaming outside of the cafe, effectively giving him a bit of a headache, could be considered a vast improvement from the usual ). the barista taking care of his order seems to pick up on that, despite the language barrier, & simply makes a gesture with his head that could only possible mean something along the lines of ‘ right behind you ‘. so he turns, halfway, carefully --- celebrity boy of the moment is next in line after himself. just his luck. ❛ sorry, i didn’t realize ... ❜ his japanese is a little broken still, but he’s working on it. fugo doesn’t stop to realize that there’s a chance the stranger might not even know he was more or less talking smack about him, to embarrassed about it all to even consider the possibility.
