you can{’t} avoid all the secrets
@croweoftheglaive:
Lestallum.
He’d made the trip himself to drop off the supplies, mostly to ensure his vendors were satisfied with the change in ‘ownership’ of Saxham, and to see his brother-in-law. Axis would feel... better if the children were in Lestallum with Rye. Saxham had brought back old nightmares he’d thought long past.
Maybe the last few weeks he’d spent there had him looking for ghosts, but he froze when he thought he saw Crowe in the crowd.
surprise, bitch...
my muse, who you thought was dead, turns out to be alive after all! how does your muse react?
@croweoftheglaive
‘ hey - i need to talk to you about something. ’

Idly draws a series of music notes along her inner forearm {sonitussilentii}
@croweoftheglaive:
It’s pretty in the way it flows across her skin — a story without words, only a pitch, symbols with undeniable meaning even if she can neither read nor understand them.
Even if she can’t make head nor tail of it, it all must mean something to him.
“What’s it from?” Gaze trails along the line once again, “Which opera?”
( write on crowe with a marker — @sonitussilentii )
Sonitus flashes a soft smile at Crowe before finishing the last note. Then he lays the marker aside. ‘The King Who Danced The Sea,’ he answers. It’s one of his favourites, the tale of the Wanderer King of Lucis and his romance with a Harbinger of Leviathan.
His smile turns wicked. ‘From his solo after she shoved him off the docks and he was instantly smitten.’
“i’ve forgiven you, so won’t you accept that?”
Fanfiction sentence starters:
It seemed the longer he spent here, the more familiar faces cropped up. Khara was in HQ, something Petra was glad about for some reason. And now Altius.
He tried to avoid her, to find a job to do on the other side of Meldacio and keep out of her way. It was easier to hide from her than hide from who he had been. That had worked a treat until she’d literally stood in his way, hands on her hips and tone completely annoyed. ‘I’ve forgiven you, so won’t you accept that?’
“ … why? If I was you, then I wouldn’t.” He would hold that grudge and laud it over the other person, because Petra knew he had done that back in Insomnia.
{ @croweoftheglaive }
She tugged at the hems of her borrowed activewear, not quite used to the clinging of the material. Crowe had insisted - it would be a necessity for the training, and she would be grateful for it. Yes, she’d been active in Tenebrae, but the gear she’d worn had been much more... forgiving. Arms crossed her midsection, as if it would generate some modesty. The all black, no makeup, and hair tossed almost carelessly into a bun -- it would help to pretend it was not the Oracle in the middle of the Glaive’s practice area. Judging by the lingering glances of some of the soldiers, it either wasn’t completely effective, or it was very clear how out of sorts she was.
❝You know, this sounded like a much better idea in my head...❞
@croweoftheglaive:
Tantrums ( no, too tame — meltdowns ), house looking like a tornado had hit it, toyseverywhere; it was all she could do to keep up. Sure, fine, yeah, the terrible twos were a phase every child went through, one every parent had to endure but if it could just pass them by just a little quicker?
“You’re not kidding. No’s her new favourite word, she goes from nought to sixty in a millisecond, won’t sleep unless Pelna asks her, doesn’t put things back in the crate as much as she just lobs ‘em at it and I swear the the gods, Selena, swear to the gods, she threw a fit last week because she lost a piece of chocolate.” Lifting the two cups on the bunker, she quickly handed one to Selena as she made to take a seat.
“She’d eaten it.”
‘ thanks. ’
cupping her hands around the mug, selena took more solace from the warmth that leeched from it more than the taste of the coffee - it was what it was. crap, but beggars and choosers right? it was that or nothing, and it was better than nothing ... just about.
smiling, she watched asha and julia tear around together - thick as thieves those two. all innocent and sweet until things didn’t go their way, then their wrath would send leviathan back to its depths out of fear.
‘ at least she’s playing favourites with you guys - pretty sure petra’s asked dave to stick him back on gate-watch for a break this week. ’
tipping her head down the road towards the front entrance of the outpost and the raised gantry where a few hunters kept watch, ‘ she doesn’t want me. she doesn’t want her dad. not her grandma or grandpa - she wants uncle randolph ... he lives in lestallum, crowe. ’
