If you got complete creative control over the DC franchise right now with the requirement that you had to immediately make crowmoth canon, how would you do it?

First off let me just say I LOVE the wording of this ask. I love the mental image of I just was given ownership to DC Comics but also a gun is being held to my head to make these two men gay as my first order of business and I have no choice.

After thinking it over, my answer is make it a Harley Quinn comic. My IDEAL buildup to CrowMoth would take a good few comics to even get to them becoming a couple, so we can’t go with that if the requirement is immediate.

But a one shot Harley Quinn comic where she has to stop the GCPD from crashing Killer Moth and Scarecrow’s wedding? I think making it a Harley comic would make people take it at face value like Oh sure okay Killer Moth and Scarecrow are dating, of course. Since it has a comedy angle, it might be easier for people to just accept it. Of course it wouldn’t be without genuine moments, the balance is important!

Make it a giant issue too! It’s a big event after all, with all the Gotham Rogues attending! The main characters just happen to be Harley, Ivy, Killer Moth, and Scarecrow, with Detective Bullock as the antagonist.

Maybe I’m overthinking it, but honestly I’ve kind of grown to adore this adore the more I think it over and bouncing it with friends LOL 😭 I think it would be a fun intro to making the couple canon if I have to make it INSTANT.

Thank you for this btw, more crowmoth brain food for me to think about from conceptualizing this.

On discord, @creepysteeples mentioned something about having Black nail polish on Scarecrow... And I got a brainworm lodged in my brain. As well as Creepy likes Scarecrow, KillerMoth, and Ivy as a trio. But since they also love Mr.Mind, my brain instantly thought about the Slug meme. So, Crowmoth fanart... With little details that was fun to make. -Bug book for Scarecrow's lap -Ivy's Vine flowers are colored in Harley's hair color -Ivy Vine is also holding the nail polish bottle -Wanted blushing Scarecrow face, so mask is on a vine nearby -Also Scarecrow leaning on his chin, but making sure not to get the nails bumped -Ivy also has a note, that was from a silly comic, from Harley. So always Harlivy <3 Took me a while to do, but I am really proud of it. I haven't done something this complex digitally in a long time. And loving my tablet for helping me do this easier. <3

One of the current CrowMoth scenarios I've been looping in my head is like. Kitten's school is doing take your child to work day, but since Drury works at home in the basement, and she sees him working all the time already, she wouldn't get much out of that...

So of course he asks Jonathan is he could take Kitten to work (he asked Oswald first, but the business he would be doing that day would be... best not to involve the child in). Jonathan relents, since Kitten and Drury are both soooo irritatingly insistent. 😔

Anyways, all that to say that the idea of the Dour Professor Crane bringing this child done up in all pink with giant sparkly eyes to his university classroom is extremely funny to me. Visualized for your convenience.
