With the Welcoming Ball coming to a close, those who have recently come to Camelot to try for the sword have retired to their accommodations, but after meeting with the King, many of them have found themselves wondering about what’s to come next, waiting for word from High King Arthur.
Two days following the ball, the King was slated to make an announcement to the kingdom, but tragically since the ball his health has deteriorated and he is now bedridden and unable to see any visitors or host any audiences. The people are being asked to keep the King in their thoughts and prayers while those closest to him tend to his health, and some people have taken to offering gifts and tokens to the king’s health at the various shrines and places of worship throughout Camelot to show their support.
But there are those in the kingdom who doubt the power of thoughts and prayers, and those people have been spreading a rumor through the halls of the castle and through the streets of the town. There is word of a miracle cure, something that can heal any ailment or illness, and is assured to restore the health of the king, but no one is quite sure what it could be.
Faithful Christians say it is the Holy Grail itself, and some knights are dedicating themselves to renewing the search. Those who rely on magic claim there is a magical elixir that can save him, and are seeking out those with the most magical know-how to create a remedy. And others still believe it’s all nonsense, and that the trials should be moved ahead without delay, so there is no chaos if the king passes suddenly.
So, what will you do?
