its the first day of summer! (at least, up in the northern hemisphere LOL) so what's a better time than now to ask -- what are your blorbos up to when the sun is out and the weather gets warm again? :0!
being lame and stupid and gay somewhere probably. the world if heyt could go back to copero without being arrested and tried for war crimes
hello! i forgot to ask yesterday but with grail -- how does he feel exactly about being the "lost prince of zakuul"? or at least, when/if he does find out about his heritage through arcann, how does he take that? :)
hello!! waves excitedly
It comes understandably as a huge shock to Grail, because what do you really do when confronted with a past that loaded? Arcann and Eight try to make it easier for him, of course, but it's something he really had to go take a breather for and sort out himself. It was mostly really confusing, less for the implications about himself and more towards the fact that the parents he thought he knew he might've not known at all, and he's forced to grapple with the idea for the first time that they used to be... not the kind and loving people that raised him. And he really, really feels conflicted about that. It's frightening, seeing your loved ones in a different light and feeling like they lied to you, even if they had their reasons. His dad was a galactic emperor who conquered worlds. He's a secret prince to a royal line that was dissolved and hated galaxies over. It's a lot to take in and consider one's place in the stars with, when originally Grail just felt like an ordinary kid. Now, he's not so sure.
But ultimately, I think he takes that knowledge as well as he can. Eventually his love triumphs over any anger he could've felt (and rightfully towards for his parents obscuring their past and his heritage from him). He loves the people they are now, not who they used to be... but he also wants to learn about who they were and who he is. He wants to know all of it, the good and the bad. This time he'll decide what any of it means to him instead of letting his legacy define who he is in a sort of cycle breaking way, because his parents never pressured him to be anyone he didn't want to be.
Learning about all of it just makes him... want to reach out and grab his own future with his own hands even more. To find his own place and destiny. To know his people and the life he could've had--and then choose one he'll be happy with, the way his parents did. It doesn't change who he is at heart, but it makes him ask, who do I want to be? A prince? A common man?
🍪: What is something that's sentimental to you OC?
🍹: Does your OC have any funny anecdotes told about them?
🍟: What does your OC admit to be their guilty pleasure? What actually is their guilty pleasure?
for whoever strikes your fancy? :3c
from THIS ask game. I CANT BELIEVE THIS WAS IN MY DRAFTS ALL THIS TIME. ANSWERS AT LONG LAST
🍪: What is something that's sentimental to you OC?
I'll do a double with this one: Fenley AND Aifenn, because their sentimental items are kind of linked.
Fenley ends up leaving the Jedi to go with Vowrawn over to the Empire, and while he's there, he ends up with a set of Satele's old lightsaber crystals. You know, the ones that got left behind when her master died on that battle station and the Sith started the war and took back Korriban? He's got those. He took a lot of joy in corrupting said crystals. very symbolic of him leaving his old life behind and turning it into a new one.
and as much as he hates to be weaponless, he does leave his lightsaber crystals behind for Aifenn. that's part of how Aifenn knows he went willingly. he still uses those crystals in his own lightsabers -- not as the main crystal, exactly, but they turned his green saber to more of a lime saber. it helps him feel closer to fenley, to have the crystals he used to use. untwisted and bright and reminding him of his brother...
the rest under the cut!
🍹: Does your OC have any funny anecdotes told about them?
fenley actually has a lot. so many. largely from his time as an overpowered jedi padawan... things he has done around the temple include: accidentally jumping 10ft vertically on his first force leap, force-pushing aifenn through a solid wall by accident, picking up master oteg and taking him to class as his presentation instead of doing his presentation, sending aifenn to the creche without warning him it was finger painting day... his crimes are varied and numerous.
the anecdotes get less funny when he becomes the wrath, more power plays and people are wary to speak ill of him. he does still do the occasional outrageous stunt though. jumped from his ship to join a fight and scared the shit out of the enemy combatants. accidentally started the barfight of all time on nar shaddaa. pretended to date Dustros for ages. guy of all time to ME.
🍟: What does your OC admit to be their guilty pleasure? What actually is their guilty pleasure?
laaika time! i think laaika would panic and say that her guilty pleasure is something terrifying and sithy. torturing members of the republic. executing people. learning evil darkside powers. she doesn't know, man, she's just trying to sound like the other sith did at Korriban.
her actual guilty pleasure is feeling safe. it doesn't happen that often, and given that being a sith means she's supposed to be emotional and scary all the time, she sees it as an indulgence. when she's alone and curled up in bed at night and feels safe... when she's alone, mostly, but if another person inspired that feeling in her? EXTREME GUILTY PLEASURE.
17 + 19 + 23 + 24 + 28 + 29 from the mass effect list?
AHWHAHWHHWHAHW andre im obsessed with you
17: Favorite loyalty mission?
This is so embarrassing like almost all my answers are Thane's 😵💫Just like. The EMOTION. The beating up a capitalist. The DRAMA. It's a soap and a crime thriller all bundled in one. Aside from my basic answer I think Mordin's is super well done in terms of dialogue, the crisis that he goes through and the way you can really argue with him, as well as Zaeed's because it always gives me fic inspo and literally I love that he just hates your guts. The power switching is so cool and dynamic all the way through.
19: What power(s) do you use most frequently?
In character, Dan Hyun uses Tech Armor and Neural Shock Most! She has a phobia of breaking bones so she's extremely fortified. Tank.
Me, I just go warp and throw and hope for the best.
23: What enemy do you really like fighting?
Hehe... husks..... crispy zombie go boom
24: What enemy do you really hate fighting?
Phantoms you piece of shits
28: What’s the most hilarious thing that’s happened to you while playing (a glitch, a mission that went haywire, etc)?
I've only had like, irritating glitches unfortunately but I was dead on sight when Shepard woke up from their Arrival kidnapping wearing only their underwear. I WAS LIKE WHAT!?!? YOU'RE GONNA MAKE HER FIGHT TITS OUT 😭Shepard's lace backed lingerie ass crack out punching a scientist to death LIKE IMAGINE YOU'RE FIGHTING AND YOU'RE JUST "gotta adjust my bra strap"
29: If you primarily play Paragon or Renegade, is there a dialogue/interrupt/action of the opposite alignment you always take?
Always gotta shoot Kenson 🙄I do not care for her and her decisions that cost the lives of all those Batarian worlds.
Hello, hello, I am back on my Speaker bullshit, courtesy of the Discord server, which you can join if you check the pinned post over at @speakergame! (Server membership is 100% not required to send me more prompts from this list, though.)
This one is for 26. how dare [you] + Seer for @crqstalite.
“How dare he,” her twin is muttering, “how dare that asshole--”
“Hey,” she tries to say, but her voice is small for once, too quiet, like a wisp of smoke instead of a brilliant spark. And that thought alone is almost too much--because it’s right when this keeps happening, when there’s nothing they can do to stop someone’s world from burning, only arrive in enough time to show the police a smoke trail and apologize.
Like that fixes anything.
Her twin is still ranting, fuming, about the nerve of that guy for trying to blame her for what happened when the rant suddenly breaks off. The swirling words are replaced by a gentle embrace, warm arms tucking her face into a familiar chest that smells like home. It’s not enough to wash out the smell of blood, but she holds back as tight as she can, and it feels less like drowning.
i associate you with fish. that and bright colors. but specifically fish. i love how you draw that cat.
Thank you! She’s a good girl really. She’s only meant to be a splotchy tabby cat you see everywhere, nothing special- but she’s definitely become very important now. She was one of the first things I wrote when I started doing the Kolyat Krios stuff, even before Ori.
Kolyat was always going to have Fish, no matter what.
