Multiple Masts in Grand Harbour
Can’t wait until they start doing cruises again. Something about seeing these thing sail off from close up is just amazing to watch. This ships are literally as tall as 20 story building. If your standing on the Smith and 9th street station on the F line, you might mistake it for a building until it starts moving. #brooklynterminal #cruiseliners #shipwatching #bandwphotography https://www.instagram.com/p/CWEJSurlCMF/?utm_medium=tumblr

Cruise ship France, built in 1910, seen in Lisbon in 1930.
At the time of its maiden voyage, in 1912, it was nicknamed the “Versailles of the Atlantic”. Originaly a steamship, it served the First world war transporting troops and later as a Hospital ship. In 1923, upon returning to civil life, she was converted into a motor ship.
Scrapped in 1935, when it became obvious the ship was too pricey and too dated to be a suitable competitor to more modern versions in the market.
