2.22.21 S-Market shopping

At abut 9:15, I walked to the S-Market in our local mall. Regularly, it's about a ten to fifteen minute walk. However, it snowed like crazy last night. In fact, so much snow that while John was walking the kids to school, he stepped in the snow up to his waist! You know he's 6 foot, three inches, right?!

So, walking was pretty slow-going on the unplowed sidewalks. I felt like I was walking in the sand on a beach- more tiring than it needed to be. I always seem to forget that when I shop, I need to carry it home. Oh well! Spending 60 Euros on groceries and carrying it back was quite heavy. That's my workout today!

I was adventurous at the store and picked up some new foods to try for lunch. The Finns love their rye bread and rye crackers. I was nervous that they would be too dry, so I loaded some flavored spreadable cheese on top and added cucumbers and salami. They were pretty tasty. I hope we also packed in the fiber!
