OK but to actually respond to some of this: I'm all here for romance in everyday life and friendships and romanticizing the mundane and in fiction romantic TRAGEDY AND VIOLENCE AND TERRIBLENESS but I struggle to even comprehend what it is that most people mean when they talk about romance in a... romantic relationship (the classic interpretation I guess). That's a very abstract concept to me that I have troubles grasping and also feel like I don't really need in my life, so I def wouldn't call myself romantic in that sense.
