my favorite thing about being best friends with someone is all the little ways we influence each other, even when we’re hundreds/thousands of miles away from each other. like what do you mean we use the same deodorant because i turned her on to my favorite brand. and what do you mean we both have weighted stuffed animals because she had one and i fell in love when i visited her. what do you MEAN we’re the same but in different fonts.

i posted about this awhile ago!

all these animations were made for a short side story i wrote for buttermilk where yua helps kenya to study as a thanks because (spoilers so i won't say LOL). i'm fine sharing them now because the context around them has changed hehe...

the thing about yua is that she tends to overwork herself a lot when it comes to school... she doesn't sleep much and always overextends herself to help out others. she gets nosebleeds because of that (stress/exhaustion).

it's a bit unclear how, but tesso worked hard to get her in the school (hes not her legal guardian and her parents are just nowhere to be found so it made everything more difficult). to honor his efforts, yua aims to study hard and keep her rank as the first student in the school (grade wise) even if it's at her own detriment. nod nod

when it comes to poor habits, i think this is where she differs a lot from kenya. from my vanish point - especially because he becomes a pro athlete past LJ - i suppose his eating and sleeping habits are strict and regulated. he IS getting 8 hours of sleep per day (lol we know).

in that short story then, on their way back home, they run into karin (kenya's mom) and she invites yua to have dinner with them. like ''omg thank god how did you get kenya to read a book'' type of timing LOL.

i don't think i've posted much about karin? she was a hostess before she met fudo and yeahh everything happened after that. but yes, she bought a supreme punching bag for kenya with the money from her divorce with fudo THOUGH that`s a story for another day LOL (ALSO I SHOULD MAKE ANOTHER RENDER FOR HER IM SORYYYYYYYYY)

one thing i can say about karin is how she likes italian food for some reason. peep the arugula bruh... (ngl its one of my fav renders ever) also, the house kenya lives in with his mom is quite alright!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is mamiya`s house slightly remodeled (it was fun to do)

i`ll spare the details but yua ends up taking a nap... most importantly, for kenya, it kinds of puts in perspective how hard yua is actually working for her grades and that she's far from being effortlessly talented. from that point onwards, he aims to help her in ways he can.
