I have to share this comic from like 2012. I used to read every update for a while, but I can’t say I’ve read all 200 pages. I like it a lot, and it inspired me to make my own physical comics in a weird way.
It’s an STH fan-comic set in the Cryptic Castle level of 2005’s Shadow The Hedgehog, and spends a ton of time on Shadow X Amy shipping. Most of the art is faint, and clearly done with pencil. Not sure why they didn’t use a Micron pen or something to line it but that doesn’t bother me. (Makes me want to line it digitally though.)
It’s clear that the artist put a ton of effort into it so I just don’t want it forgotten. Here’s a sample page.
Hey, everyone! Maybe not the best Valentine's day track, but that's how the scheduling cookie crumbles.
Hearing this alone and out of context, I can't get over how wet it sounds. Listen to all those errant synth voices going through the left and right ear...compared to our last track, it's quite busy! There's also a backing guitar that has that same distortion on it, playing a little line in the bottom of the mix. Meanwhile, the melody is loose and flowing over the guitars and relatively simple drum line. It overall sounds grungy and claustrophobic...which serves the stage quite well!

Talk about a wild card... Besides the two regular bases, Eggman has also set up two gimmicky bases in the video game Shadow the Hedgehog. Since I enjoy a Halloween gimmick more than a circus gimmick; here’s an 8-bit style, chiptune remix of “Cryptic Castle.” Is that an alien or a trick-or-treater?

5 Favorite Eggman headcanon
I find it hard to choose favorites so instead, I’ll share a few randomly selected hcs that I haven’t yet!
He keeps Chao mostly out of being fascinated with how they work and are affected by their upbringing (Neutral, Dark, Hero etc.) I imagine that the way they’re so influenced by these things gives him a good sense of control. He’s also researching them because of their direct connection to Chaos and Gerald’s Artificial Chaos.
He’s kind of the reason Cream got trapped in Cryptic Castle because he wandered there after her own Chao lead her and Eggman didn’t want her to tell people about the existence of the base. So he just puhed her inside one of the rooms and headed for the exit for his Chaos Emerald he’d been keeping there. He’s already found people that got ahem, caught in the walls that close in on you before so at least her getting stuck behind a much safer wall isn’t as bad…
He doesn’t have terrible hygiene like he’s often said to. You don’t smell B.O. while around him, maybe metals and oil if he’s been working on something hands on though. He does sweat a lot but he uses a lot of cologne that’s enough to pretty much rid of any super terrible effects. Of course if it got too bad he’d change though. Accept my sweaty man - being as hot as he is has it’s affects you know! But listen, I’ll give him a bath, I promise dhsjhgdsfjghdj
Overall, he does actually take care of himself in terms of basic hygiene, his stache is well kept and groomed, his teeth are genuinely as pure white as they appear and he enjoys his showers and baths. Despite all this the others still associate him with bad hygiene.
His eyes are blue because I actually like how they look on him (not on 06’s face though *shudders*) and they make the most sense for modern game Eggman. It’s sort of not a hc but I just wanted to say that I do like how the red and black look on Modern in terms of Archie but I prefer blue in general honestly? Even though I thought I liked the former more at first.
When he was younger one his favorite animals to learn about were hedgehogs and he was enthusiastic about telling everyone all the (very gross) facts about them. His thoughts on them have changed, ahem, quite a bit now.
