Okay so thing that I've noticed no one has mentioned is the symbolism of Henry actively stepping away from the portal and retrieving the slipper before stepping back and watching it close.
He has only known Cindy for a day at most and he clearly has already fallen hard for her despite the fact she punched and stole from him. He let her go first to leave the ball and stayed behind possibly resulting in him getting arrested/killed so that she could have a chance at happiness. You can tell that he wasn't going back without her.
Henry choose her over Storybrooke. He choose to maybe not see his family for god knows how long, never mind how long and what it must've taken to get that portal in the first place.
Henry Daniel Mills is so fucking in love with this woman and I cannot wait for Cinderella to fall as well.
