So I was thinking of like an oc idea when I was playing with my school stuff (I started fumbling with it for no reason).

And I've been thinking of like making ocs (currently hyperfixated on carmen sandiego)

So should I make a character based on a compass (probably like a ballerina or like an agile person with heels that could probably kill you).

Personality: really intelligent, just doesn't care about anyone else but her, her girlfriend, and her niece, your average asian tiger mom (despite not being a mom 😭)

Orientation: Lesbian (like Geiko, she hates men)

Job: Works as a wudan in Peking Opera, while also tryna smuggle goods and other illegal stuff

Lore/Headcanons:

She's the sister of Xifeng's mother (I'm still thinking for the name in my hc)

She's the aunt of Xifeng and sister-in-law of Huang Li

(with @shadownymphette's au) She's like the sister-in-law of Hayou (hates him man)

At young age she and her sister loved the opera, so she became one of the workers to make her sister happy

She hates Huang because like she thinks he stole her sister and is the reason her sister died of sickness (even if it doesn't make sense cuz how???)

She loves Xifeng because she reminders her of her sister, and she's working at Peking opera so yay

Hates Hayou with a burning passion (and he probably hates her back). However they don't know each other's "occupation." Hayou doesn't know she's part of SPECTACLE and she doesn't know he was working for ACME (but they've been suspicious of each other for a long time

Her girlfriend/spouse/wife is Geiko (yes, xifeng has a gay uncle and a lesbian aunt who are both married to japanese people with familial issues)

She had an okay relationship with her parents, they're just strict Asian parents, which is why she start beginning to steal

She wasn't a recruit at vile, she came straight to spectacle because she met Geiko in Singapore (Geiko was on a caper) and became friends (Ru Lan was struggling with finances at the time and Geiko saw her potential in stealing so she recruited her)

Ru Lan is practically second in command for the Cultural Performances section because sometimes Geiko can be childish and make dumb decisions and y'know

She's not really evil, she just steals because her pookie does too (and it's kinda fun) and is the only one to make Geiko stable :D

She's okay with shadowsan

She's okay with team red (since xifeng's friends with them), but she kinda thinks that they're just annoying children playing games for adults

Personality: Evil, childish, mentally unstable/insane

Job: Owner of a private teahouse (for her geisha operatives), murder, steal, sell drugs, gain more money, take care of the cultural performances from other countries not just japan.

Lore:

At a young age, she always wanted to become a performer

Her mother always encouraged her, however her father didn't

Her father was abusive to her when he mother died

Her mother gave her the half moon hair accessory before she died (Ema Rin still wears it)

That trauma made her unstable

Then her family became poor, so her father sold her as a oriran for money

She learned to pickpocket her clients, which helped her as she got recruited to vile

Something happened (haven't thought about it yet) that made her get expelled from vile

She got recruited by the Director

Once the Director's daughter became the new Director, and the former Manager of Cultural Performances either died, went missing, got murdered, or retired, she was chosen to be the next Manager

Headcanons:

Despite becoming a geisha, she still kept her oriran appearance because she's love starved and someone once told her she's beautiful, so she thought to let herself look the same. The only difference is the sandals with socks and less hairpins (but she always wore her mother's heirloom)

Despite how she is, she's kind enough to listen to her operatives when they tell her about their different cultures and all that (she strives to be like her mother)

She actually has a lot of hobbies like playing Japanese instruments, smart enough to place chess, reading manga (yes don't ask) and one time some of her operatives made her watch anime with them. She also loves eating anything matcha.

The next three are for like japanese people in the show (that she knows)

She has this weird fixation on Lady Dokuso (they are both good with poisoning) like the yandere type, she loves her, but sometimes she hates her, it's complicated (more like she's loves her because she hates her)

She once respected Shadowsan (which is kinda a compliment because she absolutely hates men), especially during his faculty days, but when he betrayed vile she thought he was pathetic

She actually admires Paper Star

She finds it weird that Magika (my oc) decided to work in the circus section instead of working with her
