She's the sister of Xifeng's mother (I'm still thinking for the name in my hc)
She's the aunt of Xifeng and sister-in-law of Huang Li
(with @shadownymphette's au) She's like the sister-in-law of Hayou (hates him man)
At young age she and her sister loved the opera, so she became one of the workers to make her sister happy
She hates Huang because like she thinks he stole her sister and is the reason her sister died of sickness (even if it doesn't make sense cuz how???)
She loves Xifeng because she reminders her of her sister, and she's working at Peking opera so yay
Hates Hayou with a burning passion (and he probably hates her back). However they don't know each other's "occupation." Hayou doesn't know she's part of SPECTACLE and she doesn't know he was working for ACME (but they've been suspicious of each other for a long time
Her girlfriend/spouse/wife is Geiko (yes, xifeng has a gay uncle and a lesbian aunt who are both married to japanese people with familial issues)
She had an okay relationship with her parents, they're just strict Asian parents, which is why she start beginning to steal
She wasn't a recruit at vile, she came straight to spectacle because she met Geiko in Singapore (Geiko was on a caper) and became friends (Ru Lan was struggling with finances at the time and Geiko saw her potential in stealing so she recruited her)
Ru Lan is practically second in command for the Cultural Performances section because sometimes Geiko can be childish and make dumb decisions and y'know
She's not really evil, she just steals because her pookie does too (and it's kinda fun) and is the only one to make Geiko stable :D

She's okay with team red (since xifeng's friends with them), but she kinda thinks that they're just annoying children playing games for adults

Ema Rin/Geiko: Oriran outfit and hair designs I found online
Spectator: a random gacha dress I found on Pinterest (her hair was just made randomly)
Mr. Baroque: those Victorian era outfits for men on Pinterest (the hair is also made randomly because idk she likes boys with long hair)
Ru Lan/Red Maiden: peking opera wudan outfits +hair I found online
Gabriella/Tanguera: tango dancer outfits + what Lacey looks like irl
Betty/Tip Tappy: the hair was inspired by Hiyoko Saionji (her splash art (the one where she's wearing pink) hair but made it curlier), the outfit was based on some tap dancer outfits with some added accessories + Miss Valentine (one piece) (also the umbrella was inspired by lady dokuso)
Job: To take care of the Circus Section of SPECTACLE as a Manager.
Lore: She grew up with her grandpa on Ireland, her parents were absent most of the time, and she almost never saw them thus creating a strained relation between her and her parents. Her Grandpa was always kind and caring towards her and she loved her grandpa for that.
But despite working very hard, her grandpa never earned much money, so she had to resort to stealing, she grew pretty good over the years and the "thief" was known to add a little flair to their heists.
Thus interesting the former Director of SPECTACLE to recruit her.
After a while, when the Daughter of the Director took over, the old Manager of the Circus section just couldn't bare the change and left, thus giving her a chance to prove herself, and was chosen as the new Manager.
Headcannons:
- She likes causing chaos.
- Though, she can be serious if needed.
- She tries to be as kind and caring as she can to operatives she likes, wanting to be as kind as her grandpa once was to her.
- She, weirdly enough, likes to read. Although she has barely contained energy and is ready to burst at any moment, reading makes her calm down and it soothes her.
Relationships:
- Is Neutral about Team Red, finds them too young.
- Has a deep hatred for VILE and ACME.
About the other Managers:
- Finds Geiko is okay. Does think Geiko can be a bit much sometimes, but thinks she's kind.
