I don’t believe that Hook/Killian telling Emma he ‘loved’ her is him not being able to handle her at her worst, or that he only loves her when she’s vulnerable and closes herself behind walls. I personally feel (and in-keeping with the whole love as a weapon thing) that he told Emma he loved her so it would hurt her, and make her want to ‘win back his heart’
I mean, look at when they first started on whatever magical journey they had; Hook blatantly told Emma that when he wins her heart, it’ll be because she wants it. In episode 5x02, Killian told the Nevengers that whatever actions Emma does (á la crushing Merida’s heart), has to be her own choice.
The fact she looked so completely destroyed (even just for a second when Saviour Swan peeked through her shiny, cold Dark exterior during the Jolly dinner date) hearing Killian use love in the past tense, tells us that she knows she has to make the right choice in fighting against surrending to the darkness.
It’s hella obvious that Emma hates what she’s become/becoming, and the look of utter contempt/scorn for Regina when she controlled the ‘I’m the Saviour’ situation, and proceeded to control Emma with the dagger just killed it. Regina was one of the people Emma saved when she tethered herself to the darkness, so it wouldn’t fuck up SB, and Regina is just being a fucking moron about paying Emma back, under the guise of being a friend and knowing what to do should Emma turn fully to the darkness.
Also, some general side-thoughts:
I feel like Regina’s going to go on some high and mighty-ass power trip because of being in charge of the DO dagger, and the fact she enjoyed (and even stated “I think I could get used to this”) with being in charge/controlling Emma, and she’s going to be bitten so hard on the ass when it all backfires on her and we see why Emma came to be in possession of the dagger again
Violet is going to turn out to Merlin??? And, s/he’s just using Henry to get info about the ‘Saviour’ (Regina, lol!) and the DO (and possibly Dark One Clippy)
it’s quite possible Guinevere is Merlin though, she’s pretty shady too, I mean, she kinda smirked when Arthur was like ‘we know exactly where that bitch is’ so she definitely knows something and it’s too early to say
I hope Belle and Rumple don’t have a kid, and I miss their dynamic, it’s going to be weird seeing blank slate Gold, idk what to expect from that ship
Regina needs to not try and take Zelena’s baby (again, with the power trip, trying to quench her own selfish needs; girl it’s getting old), which leads me to this next point
I feel bad for Robin, he’s happy there’s a kid, but he hates Zelena, even though obviously when she was glamoured as Marian, he thought he was having some coffee with his wife. And I feel if Regina did try and take that baby, Robin would have something to say, he’s an honorable man, and splitting a baby from its mother is not something he would be for (IMO), no matter how wicked that mother may be (it’s pretty obvious that Zelena is invested in raising this child to love her, and it could possibly change her views on how she perceives others - leading to her being able to love someone else)
As happy as I am that we’re getting Killian’s backstory, and as much as the family name (Jones) suggests, I really hope that Killian’s father isn’t going to be Davy Jones, that would be kind of a cop-out
If Happy’s axe was damaged/broken, shouldn’t he be dead? I’m pretty sure I remember hearing/reading something that if the swarves lose their axes, they die (or am I totally just imagining that?!)
