My sister just sent me these photos of an aggressive carrot.
our little csa share this week 💚🍐🍂 frozen broccoli, greens, celery root, cabbage, purple carrots, pears, and watermelon radishes 👽✌🏼
I used the farm fresh peaches from the CSA Box I get to make some Peach Cobbler Buns with cream cheese and peach filling and an almond crumble topping 😍🍑
So with a bunch of stuff from the agriculture box, I made myself a roasted peach and veggie salad with ancient grains and a honey rosemary vinaigrette 🥗
With the giant zucchini and the sweet potato from the agriculture box, I made a bunch of Morning Glory Muffins for breakfast this week. I used the fresh herbs and broccoli from the box to make a Thai Shrimp and Glass Noodle stir fry for dinner, and the cucumbers from the box to make pepino y limon agua fresca (cucumber lime) 🥰
The agriculture box keeps sending me the same things with the occasional new addition: lettuce, chard, rosemary or basil, chives, celery, cucumber, squash, zucchini, unripe tomatoes lol, and peaches.
I'm a fruit slut, I'm fucking stoked about the peaches lol. Last year I made DELICIOUS peaches and cream filled mochi which I want to make again and share at work. But I'm running out of ideas for the veggies. I hate zucchini and the yellow squash lol. The lemon loaf I made with the yellow squash was very good, but I think I'm going to use them in the Superhero Muffins recipe from Run Fast, Eat Slow this time.
Any ideas for the rest of it?
Used some of the goodies from the farmer's box to make a honey rosemary syrup and a big dinner salad. Used the syrup to make a vinaigrette too 😋🥗
