CROW OF TIME: CHAPTER 3 CSCSs and Hcs
CONCEPT:
There isn't much to talk about in here, currently.
SCRAPS:
Again, nothing much to talk about here. Oh wait, there is.
Crowsprite should have a flashback detailing their death, where the whole incident was detailed. However, I do not think it will fit for their current headspace at this point, and so the part was entirely scrapped. Don't worry, there will be deeper elaborations, but not at their perspective.
In other things, Crowsprite should also be observing how the place down the apartment burns into chaos, with people fleeing from meteors and screams flailing in the air. Again, it kinda brings the focus away from the main point of the chapter, so off we go
Commentary:
I've decided to show a sneak peak on what kind of knowledge sprites actually held, at least to my headcanon. After all, as a game guide, shouldn't their sprite minds be screaming at them about how some equipment worked?
Anyways, in other places we go. Crowsprite has a fractured mind, not really being able to focus unless push comes to shove and danger is at their doorstep. You'll see that flaw become significant soon, and also their self-sacrificial tendencies.
At the same time, I decided to switch up how the egg artifact breaks to (vaguely) parallel it with some future events. There IS a reason why I described the 'bird' which came out of it to be comparable to a phoenix :)
last-SECOND ADDITIONS:
daydreamSanctum wasn't meant to show up this early in the story, but I decided to throw in a sneak peak of their antics for fun. Dont spoil if you figured out who they are ;)
Also, they don't fully use They/Them pronouns—just that Im using it to shield their identity.
Headcanons:
• Sprites have inteicate knowledge about EVERYTHING within SBURB, including possible glitches, equipment tips, and even a few secrets. However, they have some sort of mental 'lock' that prevents them from accessing more delicate info, and these info only releases when it was deemed necessary. How? Nobody knows, it just happens.
• All Striders have a form of photophobia (the light sensitivity, not the fear).
• All crows in Houston, Texas have names that are just descriptors. Crowsprite in their hayday had given some nicknames that are remembered to this day—and the nickname process is repeated across the next generations
• In the same vein, ONLY crows are the last Earth species to survive from the end of the world due to many of them being within the Striders' apartment—especially in COT, where they basically took over a few rooms.
