Susie was clearly at a loss, had she really not bothered to have gotten her self-proclaimed friend’s last name in all this time?! She trailed off, already inwardly cringing at what a fumble this first proper introduction was shaping up to be.

She never was one for addressing others properly in the first place, even referring to her classroom teacher by first name. It wasn’t like she minded, or if she did she never made an effort to correct her, so she carried on. Glancing around, she cleared her throat before attempting again.

“Kris-! You, uh, see ‘em?”

Anna knew she was making a delivery to the king of monster, but when he actually opened the door she was nothing short of surprised. The monster before her was much larger than she was anticipating, and while she wouldn’t let herself be intimidated, she could see very easily why humans would be afraid. 

Letting the brief stint of mild shock pass her, she adjusted the bouquet in her arms, feeling unsure of what to do, 

“Um, sure. Thank you. These are from someone claiming to be an admirer, though they didn’t leave their name.”

“Oh, hi. Thanks for checking in. I’m still a piece of garbage!” - for whichever pap you like best. asgore feels like garbage regardless.

The tiny Papyrus looks up at the bulking form of the king and toddles over to Asgore’s arm to give him a hug. 🌟 I’S DUN TINK YOUS GAWBAGE. MISTAH IS A TWESUWA!”

(translation: I don’t think you’re garbage. Mister is a treasure!)

☂ Asgore has no qualms about wrapping his big, warm, fluffy cardigan around Undyne's shoulders. Snowdin can be chilly for a fish monster, after all.

“You’re too nice. Thanks, Asgore.” Undyne smiles and ties the thick, soft sleeves snugly together. The scientist already had a labcoat that helped her endure the extreme temperature changes in the Underground. But jeez... it’s awfully thoughtful of the big guy to offer his sweater to her! Kind of felt like a warm hug!
