Clip Studio Paint 2.0 Announcement and What It Means
I see people worry that CSP is over now and that they will force subscriptions on everyone. This is not really the case. But lets back up a bit, what's actually happening?
CSP just released an announcement about version 2.0, and it's plans for the future. The current plan is to stop including free feature updates to the current CSP version (1.x) in 2023.
I am not linking the article in this post, but that's only so it can show up in the tag searches. It should be available on their website or on their Twitter!
This got long so it's under a read more.
Scattering Stars
I should probably make a tag for all these Secondhand Origin Stories book trailer animation clips.
Anyways, here's some Issac shots.
I am so baffled about how I'm gonna add the rain-through-the-window-casting-shadows effects on that first one there.
This is a hell of a project to learn to animate on.
(Yes, this is the same characters as Names in Their Blood. I started animating a trailer for book 1 in the series while I started writing book two.)
first time trying clip studio paint:
i'm still getting used to the interfaces and all the materials it came with. i haven't had the time to download more brushes so i tested out with just the default ones. drawing on a tablet feels so weird after using an ipad for so long but my muscle memory still kept up with some of the shortcut a few years back (medibang paint)
it felt really nice to finally trying out and getting some what of an industry standard software, will definitely take a while to be fluent in the motions and shortcuts but it'll be worthit imo
tested out doing a quick doodle with ghostface/danny johnson my beloved, i'll give him a proper drawing once i'm comfortable with the medium i draw with
if anyone have any brush packs recommendations please let me know lol, preferably free since i can't pay for the stuff myself
