steph is used to being the one to initiate contact of any kind, especially with cass being so quiet, so a lot of their relationship winds up with cass being dragged along by an overly affectionate steph all the time

steph always finds them quiet spots during parties or other gatherings. she always assumes cass needs somewhere to recharge a bit and steph always wants cass all to herself anyway

steph loves how cass looks but also loves doing her makeup and finding any clothes that’ll fit her and getting her all dressed up, even if it’s only for her in the privacy of their bedrooms

despite the height difference, cass is the big spoon. she’s so protective she winds up holding steph a lot, not that she minds in the slightest.

       they all had their concerns about sending steph anywhere near black mask, no matter how much she tried to calm them. she only got them to agree by having cass come along, not that she wanted to do this without her. she really didn’t think there’d be a problem, felt it was behind her and she was moving on to be the best hero she could be. even if he’d cost her being batgirl and everything since then she felt was linked to him. 

       with cass by her side, it didn’t take long to have an empty room with them alone with black mask. there was something about the way he spoke, the way he looked at her again that made something snap in her. she lost control. an average fight wound up with steph not holding back, screaming obscenities as she loomed over him. blaming him for everything bad in her life. she forgot all about cass being there, about all the lessons on self restraint, his blood stained the purple costume and still she couldn’t help but scream and hit him again and again.

       she couldn’t help but smile at the compliment, even with the stagnant pause. she could always count on cass to have something nice to say, even if she looked laughable in her disguise. “ i do have a certain je ne sais quoi in this get up, don’t i ?? ”
