For my second year in a row I had the esteemed pleasure of photographing young women, from all over the world, who attend the Conference On The Status of Women at the United Nations. At this event, women from an extremely diverse group of organizations, all looking to better the lives of women everywhere, meet to discuss what can and is being done for women's healthcare, sexual rights, work environment and basic human needs. This is Salma Abdalla from Sudan. She works for the International Federation of Medical Students' Association and MiLead Initiative. Her feminist vision is, "...a world where every woman does not have to justify why she calls herself a feminist because feminism is the norm. A world where we no longer have to hold special meetings for women's rights." #YoungFeministVisions #FeministCSW61 #CSW61 (at United Nations)
