Today the Women’s March San Francisco is hosting a Civic Engagement Fair at the Women’s Building until 5 pm today. Meet folks from some great organizations like Mujeres Unidas Y Activas, NARAL Pro-Choice California, and the W Challenge by the Office of Assessor Carmen Chu and the Dept on the Status of Women designed to get women to pledge to vote and to register others to vote! Today, Women’s Equality Day, we gathered at Civic Center to stand up for women’s rights. With Women’s Commissioner Andrea Shorter as emcee, advocates dressed as Margaret Atwood’s hand maids streamed by. Mayor London Breed, State Senator Scott Wiener, Assemblymembers Phil Ting & David Chiu, and Congresswomen Barbara Lee spoke out for a Supreme Court that will honor the lives of women.
