NaNoWriMo Update

I’m finally getting caught up on my word count for NaNoWriMo! The word sprints have been the biggest help of all. If it hadn’t been for those, I might have been lacking in enthusiasm for trying to catch up. They were inspiring to me! I just had to set my timer, write, count, and repeat!

The scenes are coming along, but it’s awful writing. I’ll have to rewrite this eventually. I’m loving FocusWriter and Evernote has been a MAJOR help for me! I have it on my phone, so even when I’m not at home, I can still make notes about the novel. Yay!

I hope my fellow NaNoers are doing great! There has been so much stress from bills at my house that I haven’t been enjoying this--until today! Are any of my fellow authors having this problem, too?

Change of Plans for NaNoWriMo

I've decided to work on Book 2 of the Crossing the Borders series for my NaNoWriMo project instead of an urvan fantasy novel. I know this is last minute, but I'm more excited to get this series done than to start a new project. I am working on character roles & arcs, the plot, and how it all fits together. This is more diffuclt than you think, because Hideki has been a random NPC that pushed himself to the front of the novel since the half-written first draft and his role is important yet I HAVE NO IDEA WHO HE IS AND HIS ROLE IN MY BOOK. THIS IS FRUSTRATING ME.

I haven’t decided if I am going to participate in NaNoWriMo this year. I have way too much stress and things to do...but I need to start writing on Book 2. Or, rather, REWRITING the first half. Ugh!
