howd the criminal minds writers get away with giving reid so much pain like he had a bad childhood cause his father left and his mothers schizophrenic so she couldnt really take care of him, he might have schizophrenia and he spends the whole series worried he might have a mental break, he gets kidnapped and struggles with drug addiction because of it, hes infected with anthrax, hes shot in the leg, gets those weird headaches, maeve dies, gets shot in the neck, gideon dies, he almost relapsed when prentiss ‘died’, actually he gets kidnapped and held hostage multiple times doesnt he, and then there a whole season where hes in jail for something he didnt do, like the other characters have all had their sad moments but jesus it feels like hes had so much more painful shit, liek they get momentary stuff and he get eternal suffering
