Tezcatlipoca instills fear and despair.
I decided to clip a panel from my comic and make standalone illustration out of it. Tezcatlipoca, The Smoking Mirror, Night Wind etc. was a god associated with power, conflict, night and sorcery.

Episode 1387: The Island Rail Walk
Translator Notes:
This is one of the many cases where the punch line worked better in the original Japanese due to Vyrn’s name. The Japanese word for a shoebill is hoshibirokou, which combines with Vyrn’s Japanese name Bii to form the joke name hoshibiirokou in the original script. Given that neither “shoebill” nor “Vyrn” bear any resemblance to their Japanese versions, this ended up being kiiinda strained.
I also changed up Vyrn’s line - the original Japanese was Oira wa hashibiiroku!, which hearkens back to his classic line Oira wa tokage ja nee! (”I ain’t no lizard!”). However, given that there’s no English version of Vyrn’s trademark oira usage, I figured that I should make it more explicit that this is intended to be a riff on Vyrn’s classic line, since the literal translation of “I’m a shoebyll!” wouldn’t have conveyed that nearly as well.
One final note: technically speaking, the bird in question here that Diola’s walking with is an Okinawa rail, but since Okinawa obviously doesn’t exist in the Granblue Fantasy world, it’s localized as “island rail” in the official translation. I’ve followed suit.
cuauhtli replied to your post: Kill one bird with two stones. Make sure it’s...
that’s a waste of stones
How else do you think I killed you?
