It officially feels like summer in Iowa with thermometers climbing and the humidity making itself ever present. What better way to cool down (or at least dream of it) than going for a swim! Up and down you swim was made by book artist and UICB instructor Emily Martin and Naughty Dog Press. Formed as a series of eight connected cubes forming one large cube, this imaginative artists’ book keeps transforming as you read it and can be configured in many ways. Each panel shows a swimming figure and text throughout flows whichever way you’d like. The fundamentals of swimming feel appropriate for life sometimes, too--take a deep breath, keep an eye on your destination, and stay afloat.
