Coli which is what we thought he had. It's so common among auction animals. He is doing great, but we just have to wait it out and offer supportive care. He has to remain in isolation so that this does not spread to other animals or humans. We are hoping his new friend will offer a little bit of snuggles and comfort tonight. We know it's sad, and Jellybean should be with his mama. But as long as people continue to consume cheese, babies like Jellybean will continue to suffer and die. Despite being stolen from his mom, and contracting e. Coli, Jellybean is one of the very few lucky ones. My heart aches for his mom and I hope her own broken heart is starting to heal tonight. I wish she didnt have to go through this over and over again, and I wish I could tell her that her baby is ok. Veal is a direct by-products of the dairy industry. We (humans) keep female cows pregnant to produce milk and instead of allowing the bond of mother and calf, we (humans) keep the calf from nursing and take her milk for consumption. There's pus/hormones in it (pus from infections and FDA has a % that is safe for humans). And, after about 5 yrs, the female cows are turned into ground beef and sold to fast food restaurants being consumed as hamburgers.
