i don't know who else does this... but I invent nicknames for close friends. Either that, or I randomly give completely unrelated nicknames to people I barely know.

For example, cuddlesandchamomile is kid cassidy. And feed-me-seymour has just become Bails. yep. 

and then of course, you have the more sensible ones brianne = briskee, madison = madders, and ashly = hashtag
