Cuifen: We vegetarians love the environment. Carnivores are sick freaks.
Shan Yuan: How can vegetarians possibly love the environment.. you keep eating all the fucking plants.

I hope you don’t mind that this is somewhat unexpected! :D
putting a hand over the other’s mouth to shut them up
“But you must agree that you should be granted the higher status among Uncle Zhang Yi’s students, not the completely useless half wit that my brother is!” Qing Qing was talking herself into a rage again, her gestures becoming wilder, making the wine swap in her glass. “Your talent needs to be worth more than his unmerited rank!”
Cuifen watched her with only mildly interested amusement. She leaned forward in her chair to fill her own glass again. Princess Qing Qing was one of her closer friends, and she enjoyed hanging out with her, drinking and chatting and sometimes extending the stay throughout the night. Especially since Lord Zhang Yi had decided to relocate his lair (and his students with it) to the Alps, their evenings together had become one of the few entertaining distractions during their spare time. Qing Qing had been furious about the move, as it made it much more difficult for her to stay in contact with some of the dragons she had previously let in on her recent political quest. It seemed to just fuel her attempts to convince her lower born friend of her ideas even more.
“Stop flattering me, dear!” Cuifen grinned, trying to steer the conversation towards a lighter direction, “Or, if you do, then don’t compare me to your brother.”
“It’s not flattery. I know how good you could be if you got the chance!“ Qing Qing’s eyes darted towards the door, as if to make sure they wouldn’t be overheard. She did not seem fully reassured, and lowered her voice to an urgent whisper, “I can’t see why you wouldn’t support me, when all I want is to uplift you to your rightful place.”
Cuifen sighed. She was growing weary of the princess’s speeches. In the beginning she had been somewhat intrigued to hear about her new ideas, but lately that was all she ever wanted to talk about when they were alone together. It started to bug her. Maybe it was that, or the second emptying bottle of white wine between them that made her jab.
“Thanks, but no thanks. I will not be the show piece for your cause.” She snorted, “Come, Qing Qing… or should I now start calling you In-”
Qing Qing’s hand shot out in one swift motion and clasped Cuifen’s mouth shut before she could bring out another tone of her secret code name. Cuifen froze and suppressed her own natural instinct to fend off the attack. While the other dragon’s claws did not scathe the scales on her cheeks, her grip was tight enough to deliver a very clear, distinct warning.
‘You could snap my neck here and now, come up with a story and get away with it,’ Cuifen thought bitterly, ‘That’s the difference between us, and you won’t change that.’
The princess’s eyes flared with barely retained fury and some of the long hair that had escaped her loose tail wafted out around her.
“Never say this out loud here,” she hissed between gritted teeth. The almost fanatic intensity in her gleaming red eyes made it difficult for Cuifen to hold her gaze, but she had grown used to Qing Qing’s temper. After a few breaths the pressure on her jaw loosened slowly. Cuifen did not allow herself to relax just yet, but as Qing Qing withdrew back to her chair, she finished her glass of wine in one big gulp. “You know, I wish we could have shared other things than just politics tonight, but I’m afraid the mood is rather soured now,” she remarked with a deliberate, casual air as she rose from her own seat, setting down the empty glass on the nearby side table. Qing Qing’s eyes were still glowing red and followed her as she strolled over to the door. “Thanks for the wine, though. Good night, Your Highness.”

Feeling brave enough today to post a piece of my writing about OCs.
Love from the first song
Word count: 1542
Original song:
Ratha threw a large basket full of tea leaves on his back and raised his head to the barrier. The neighboring and distant thays were already visible through it, indicating the start of an evening in Yaolan-in-Zhen itself. This time, he'd gone out to collect the leaves way too late... or perhaps he'd lost track of time?
He lightly tugged on the basket by its straps to check the weight. It was heavier than usual. He must have really gotten carried away.
He had to get home as soon as possible — leaves meant for green tea were not supposed to wilt too long. Ratha made sure he hadn't forgotten anything, and then finally started walking down to town. No one else joined — he must have been the last person to leave the fields. Ratha didn't mind, though — it was probably for the best. Right now, he wasn't in the mood for social interactions anyway. Just the idea of a conversation seemed draining.
Cuifen: Would you still love me if I was an email? Shan Yuan: I would star you and keep you in a special folder
Shan Yuan: What does it mean when someone says they're pescatarian and vegan? Cuifen: Land animals are innocent of crimes but The Fish have Sinned.
Kai: You’re seriously dating my brother? Cuifen: Yes, cousin, I’m dating Shan Yuan Kai: You honestly MET HIM and went “more”? Cuifen: I’m surprised too
