Cullen’s Hair

I think it’s so cute and telling that stern, practical Cullen takes the time to style his hair every morning. It’s the one facet of his physical appearance that he takes any care with: he obviously doesn’t shave every day because of his handsomely stubbled jaw, and he has the fashion-sense of a clod with that ridiculous fur mantle-thing he wears. Yet, he takes the time to do his hair. It’s an interesting conundrum, is it not?
My headcanon about Cullen’s hair is that he has always hated his curls, thought them far too girly for a man, especially a tough warrior. I think that maybe the other Templars teased him about them, maybe called him pretty, because of his hair and his handsome features. So, when he leaves the Templars to join the Inquisition, he decides that since he’s trying to change other aspects of himself that he doesn’t like, he might as well do something about his hair, too.
