Eclipse day photo dump round 1! I’ve got more on my DSLR that I’ll upload tomorrow. These are all iphone shots, the eclipse ones were taken through a filter. Went to Cullowhee Falls with @dawnofthefox @andbulletdodger and Kyle for the day and it was WILD. The falls are massive and the eclipse at full totality was just amazing. It got dark SO FAST when totality approached- it was like someone flipped off a light. Also the approaching darkness was really unsettling. It wasn’t like a sunset. Everything got hazy and muted and weirdly flat looking because the shadows and sense of depth became so skewed. After the eclipse we hung out and swam and drank for a bit before hiking back. Best last hike ever. Also on the way in there's some eye of providence carving on a felled tree that was weirdly appropriate.
