Now for one of those life bits.

Its Development Plan time at work, I have to pull the new format off at work and figure out what I want to put on paper. The new format has been gone over carefully with each individual by the proper person in a private setting.  Which is good that way people get to ask questions they may otherwise sit on in a big group.  One on one can be mush easier and feel safer in something like this. I know what She wants me to write up in mine. what she wants to see and how she wants me to proceed in the next year. I have no interest in it. I like what I do I enjoy over all my job, it's interesting and busy.  I have a lot of responsibility already between work and home and have no want or urge to take on more.  She see this as me being fearful and overwhelmed, it is however not the case.

I'm finding the more she prods and tries to not dictate necessarily but push her agenda in regards to the way I do my job the more it show just how intrench  and fragile her positivity world is.  I have  a very blunt practical personality and out look on life, not only was this the way I was raised, my father being military, but having a sick spouse and budget to work within its just the way it goes. She see this as negative.  She told me so, in a very PC positive way of course.  She wants me to do a job level above what I am paid for with no real compensation, and what little compensation there is can be taken away if the performance isn't kept up no matter what else is going on in my life and around me at work.  She would also like me to be a more PC positivity person and communicate as if everyone is a special snowflake and lives in that world, as well a hold a co-workers hand through it all.  She just see so much potential! and needs the rush that comes with forcing her world view and only her world view on everyone around her, a damaging symptom of the culture, almost a religion in may ways, she's bought into for her own reasons.

I was asked about a co-worker and how they were doing, I gave an honest answer and was called negative and was given a you need to be a team player speech even though its recognized at this point I'm carry the team largely in many ways.  This confuses me, I had once said there's no point in going to management with things as you get called negative in a nice way and then lectured. This proved me right. So I will do a development plan I want and she will have to live with it.  I like what i do and don't want management, I don't know how to make them except this or if they will.
