“they gave them to me, and i know i packed them but … i just can’t find them.”     @cultspaced​

the panic in the other’s voice is enough to capture ben’s attention, pausing in his movements as he tries to get his bearings on what he’s doing. flicks his gaze towards the other, a frown playing down the corners of his mouth.     “you want a hand?”    not that he waits for an answer; already walking over. ben is a space invader - always has been, perhaps he always will be. doesn’t realise, either. crowds in until he’s peering into the bag laid open, the frown on the other’s face, and ben doesn’t go as far as to rummage through their stuff himself, but he’s not far off it.     “you might have forgotten them -- or did you pack them in another bag?”     ever the optimist. always wanting to help in any way that he can.     “you want me to look, or do you wanna check and i can go through this again?”     helpless to a fault. unaware of when it can be considered  too much  until it’s pointed out to him.     “it’s fine--  we’ll find them, don’t stress too hard.”
