A drain with a view ^_^
While local officials were willing to let developers culvert and fill the streambed to create a level building site, Cutler proved that an environmental alternative could be not only achievable but also spectacular.

Hehehehe, what on earth is my shbee borf? Hehehehe, i'm gonna assume that tickles.

UUUUhhhhgggggg, why'd you have to throw it in here?
*Otter grumbles* shoulda used a fuckin 36" CMP here, fucking flood zones and shit woulda made this easier, would made grabbing my dam sandwich easier than this 18" shit
Seriously tho, the number of culvert pipes that are designed as just-barely large enough is kinda funny. Like, we design for the 25-year storm on them, but if you get a 100-year storm, we just say fuck it as long as it doesn't overtop the road by more than a foot, whatevs. And even that still results in like double 24" barrel culverts in like residential areas and its wild.
On my birthday yesterday (a.k.a. Beltane, May Day and International Workers' Day), being too far away from a protest to attend, I took the opportunity to go down to the Owyhee River, a tributary of the Snake River. It flows through farmland in Eastern Oregon providing irrigation. Near Hwy201 There's a dirt road with this culvert running underneath. I love the sound of rushing water.
