1) What’s your favourite thing to do?
I love to read and write and daydream - often about what I'm writing. I find life is a lot easier in my own fantasies. I do a good deal of sleeping and justifying why I'm not changing out of sweatpants too, for anyone who's interested.
2) If you could go back and redo your life, what age would you start at?
I had a pretty incredible childhood, and high school wasn't all that bad, though I made mistakes like everyone else. I think I'd go back to the beginning of university. I already had a boyfriend and I thought my classes would be small enough that I wouldn't have to go out of my way to meet new people. My boyfriend and I broke up and a lot of my friends from high school don't contact me much, and I feel uneasy reaching out to them. Now I spend a lot of time alone.
3) Is there something that you regret deeply?
In high school I watched a girl pick on a kid with a mental disability. It was a hard time for me, because my grandfather was really sick and my mother was never home, my grades were slipping and I was skipping out on work so my boss was mad at me. I just kind of lost it, but I didn't want to draw attention to myself anymore than I already did. I didn't have a diary, so when I went home I wrote a piece on a blog bashing some of the kids who were truly horrendous who went to my school. A year later, well, they found it. I've always felt bad about it, not only because a whole new level of wrath was turned onto me in my final year of high school but because there were some genuinely nice people who were friends with them whose opinions of me were lowered, and I felt like scum for doing that. In trying to fight bullies I became one.
4) What was your first URL on tumblr?
the-real-pokemaster. I liked Pokemon. I still do.
5) When you were younger what did you want to be?
When you're a kid you want to be a thousand things, but always constant for me was my desire to be an author. I feel like it's my calling.
6) Who is your favourite author?
Oh god, where to start? I have plenty. I love George R.R. Martin and Brent Weeks, even though their stories give me horrible anxiety. Isumu Fukui is a great writer and I'd highly recommend him to anyone looking for something new. Suzanne Collins, Rainbow Rowell, Cassandra Clare, J. K. Rowling, the list goes on and on. Everyone is special in their own right.
7) What would your dream URL be?
sherlock-holmes
8) What is your worst habit?
I shut people out if I feel they're getting too close or too flirty. I don't know why. I've had boyfriends and great friends but I never reach out to anyone I know now. I can think a guy is cute but as soon as he asks for my number an alarm goes off in my head and it's like a fight-or-flight thing with me. Then I complain that I'm alone.
9) Do you have any pets?
Yes, I have a wonderful West Highland White Terrier, and she's the cutest thing I've ever seen (though I'm biased). She's like a cotton ball that runs around and jumps on her back legs whenever you come home. Nothing like a dog to make you feel loved. 10) Do you have a favourite music video?
I like things with synchronized dancing. It amuses me.
My questions:
1) If you could change one thing in your life, what would it be?
2) If you could go anywhere in world absolutely free, where would you go?
3) What kind of drunk are you?
4) What are your dreams, goals, ambitions?
5) If you could live forever with a fictional character, which character would it be?
6) You're stuck on an island. You can have one item with you. It cannot be a boat or a 'How to build a boat (or a raft)' guide, you tricky son of a gun. What do you take with you?
7) Do you have any siblings?
8) Which country do you live in?
9) What's your favourite part of the holidays (any holiday, doesn't matter what you celebrate).
10) Favourite celebrity?
