Fisrt Cumbres Turn by Joe McMillan Via Flickr: On December 20, 1963, engines 493 and 488 have brought up the first Cumbres Turn to Cumbres. The train has been stashed in the siding, both engines have turned on the wye, and are now heading back to Chama to pick up the second cut of cars. It will take all day to complete the two turns–––photo by Joe McMillan with Steve Patterson and John Charles.
