National Library Week 2017 -- More Treasures from the Rare Book Collection 

Featured here is a Babylonian cuneiform terracotta tablet fragment from the 2nd millennium B.C. It represents one of the earliest forms of writing -- and thus to us an early “book” form. It represents an ancient technology as well as serves as the first step towards the modern book.

Phase one of my gorgeous new work of art, on my arm, thanks to the phenomenally talented @aprildawn.tattoo , who beyond rose to the occasion to create this flowing, intricate tiny detailed work. This body art is a totem piece for me, about what it is to be a translator for angels, spirits, elementals and OffWorlders, to human beings. The origins of life, in DNA, expanding into the elemental kingdom and animals living upon the earth (brilliant reproductions of images on the pictograph caves outside of Billings, MT—one of my most special holy places), branching into cuneiform from 600 B.C. Sumeria (which means “the mouth between the earth and the sky”), into the stars with into the Drake equation (the physics equation to explains life on other planets), and up to the heavens to a glorious Angel wing riddled with the universal binary language, since Angels are either on-or-not-on / “black and white” about any concept.
