@speakinginsimlish- Thank you! It does take a long time to get a Medieval CC folder together. I do have one that is fairly organised, but I wasn't happy with the prices of some CC (like broken-looking beds that were more expensive than ornately carved ones). I'm currently re-downloading and rebuilding my entire medieval folder, and also repricing and re-categorising all CC as I add it to the game, and adding every item to collection folders as well. It's taking forever, but I'm hoping it will pay off!

@merluvlee-sims2- Thank you. I was really pleased with how Darkmont turned out, and I really love Earthdrift. I think Brittleshore will look fantastic once it has some lots as well!

@helene2troie- Thank you so much! That is high praise coming from you! I am so in awe of your Cambremon! I am planning on using some of your lots as inspiration!

@princesspiratecat- It's so nice to see you more active as well. Download folders are a massive PITA, but I guess it's partly our fault for expecting so much from them!

@equinoxts2- Thank you. This was one of those builds that just came together really quickly and easily. Inspiration hit and what was in my head actually made it in to the game! I wish all builds happened like that!

@funderberkersims- Thank you! Skyrim is exactly the look I am going for with these 'hoods and this build, so I'm glad I pulled it off! I can't wait to build more lots for these 'hoods! Hopefully soon!

The only issue I’ve seen is where the taxi comes as that’s based on the portals, or the mailman not being able to get to the mailbox depending on placement. I move the mailbox and rubbish bin on almost all of my lots. Not sure if it can cause bigger issues, but I’ve never seen them. Only heard of them if the mailbox is deleted!

Using this mod you can see where the portals are, and the car/pedestrian portals look to be in the same place they’d be on a lot where the mailbox is left alone.

I also found a list of the different types of portals, and it seems the portals for cars & pedestrians are separate from the mailbox’s portal. As far as I can tell the mailbox is mainly just a marker for sims to stop at, though sims will spawn wherever the mailbox is if they enter/leave the lot in a way other than by car or walking, like witches or Captain Hero. And the taxi in the move-in cutscene could look strange depending on the mailbox location, cause it’ll go wherever that is instead of actually driving on the road.

So yeah I think as long as the mailbox stays accessible to sims it should be okay in other spots, which is why I put it halfway between the porch & the edge of the lot instead of flush with the porch, cause I think some sims need to be able to get behind the mailbox to properly do whatever it is the mailbox makes them do.

I collect all sorts! Lots of romance novels, but also vintage cookbooks, household manuals, and I also have a lot of Australian based novels as well. What sort of books do you have in your collection?

Awesome! I have a huge romance collection - it started because I found one at a thrift store with a truly fantastic cover, and sort of escataled from there. Mostly fiction, I’ve got quite a few fantasy and horror novels. I probably have 40 or so history books mostly centered around the tudor period. Classics, modern... it’s rather eclectic, and almost all of them are secondhand.

@cindysimblr​- Sorry for the build up and then the disappointment@  I was totally bummed that Anne had to leave, but at the same time, I pity the poor woman who actually has to marry Henry!

@dreamalittledreamsims​- You think?!  Bessie is playing a really solid game and Katherine Parr and Ann of Cleves are going back and forth between second and third place.  We’ll see!

@cupcakeyysims​- Anne was my favourite.  But, she will be getting a 14th century makeover and will be placed in my new ‘hood, after this challenge is finished.  I love her too much to let her languish in the Sim Bin!

@winterinverona​- Another Ann of Cleves cheerleader!  Honestly, I love all the girls, and I haven’t played through to the end yet, so I have no idea who will win yet!  Wolsey will also make an appearance in my new ‘hood (14th century England, rather than Tudor England), so it will be interesting to see how he and Henry get along there and how long it takes Henry to get annoyed at him!  Wolsey has quite the annoying personality and irritating combination of traits in-game!

EDS is not a fun fight! I have some clients with a couple of different variants and it’s rough :( that is quite the collection of books too, I’m also a fellow book collector.

It’s not great, but I know I’m fortunate to just have the hypermobility type. I know others with the worse variants. And honestly, I’ve never really known any different so it doesn’t get me down so much anymore :) Thankfully I have a very understanding partner who is always so supportive.

I’ve always been a reader, and since I have a lot of down time it helps to keep me entertained. I just finished a collections of essays by Michael Arceneaux that was fantastic. Not sure what I’ll be picking up next. What kind of books do you like?
