Enchanted Explorations || Alice and Diana
Alice skipped lightly out of her cabin, her dress swishing around her knees. So far, she was loving the camp that the school had set up. Part of her was still sad that she wasn't able to go home for the summer, but she knew that she would still see her parents at some point, so there was no real reason to be upset. Her father had wanted her to attend camp, especially seeing as she still had no real control over her gift. That was emphasized by the fact that she'd accidentally ended up two inches tall this morning when she went to brush her teeth. Things like that were just part of her normal day at this point.
So Alice had respected her father's wishes. She would never really be able to go against them anyway, seeing as he was her father and the person she admired most in the world. Luckily for her, the summer camp was one of the best things she could've ever thought to do with her summer. There was even an Enchanted Forest! It was just like in the stories. Why, Alice thought she was living a fairy tale. There had been nothing more that Alice had ever wanted. And now it was her reality.
Alice smiled widely as she thought about this. She would have never guessed that she'd ever be this happy before. Or that there was actually such a thing as powers and an Enchanted Forest. Before, she'd just assumed that they were stories. It made her giggle to think about how silly she had been. She hadn't known any better, but still.
As she was lost in her thoughts, Alice had skipped out of her cabin and was walking along the main path in the camp. It was as she was walking that she noticed her friend Diana. Alice smiled again and instantly ran over, an idea forming in her head. "Hello, Diana!" she greeted, coming to a halting stop right next to her friend. She nearly reached out to take Diana's hand, but thought better of it given that she knew what Diana's gift was. "Do you want to go exploring? I haven't yet, and we should definitely find our way around camp before any of the bigger events happen you know. We don't want to get lost on our way to a campfire or anything." She grinned, hoping Diana would come with her. It would be nice to have bonding time with one of her closest friends.
