I consider myself an inherently awful person. At the same time, I strive to be and do better while holding myself to an (unfairly) high standard (especially considering the situations I am put through). I can't change who I am; any good I do does not change the fact that I am rotten at my core. The people in my life who tell me I'm a good person don't know what they're talking about. thinkgin about liz webber again. grips head. her need to always find something or someone to blame. the deaths of her friends are her fault. the involvement of people in the paranormal is veríssimo's fault. the rise of the desconjuração is dante's fault. there is always something to blame. there is always a reason something happens. the suffering is not just wrong place wrong time, no! the deaths are not just bad luck! that car crash that killed her mother was not just a car crash! and liz webber can prove it so! she can defy those deaths at every turn, stitching up her friends and undoing damage done. she can reach into every mystery, digging through secrets and drawing out the reason for everything. because if it all has a reason then it can all be prevented, and liz webber can be the reason it stops.

Has anyone considered asexual Thiago. Because I have. I have considered asexual Thiago.

All of his knowledge of being "sexy" is purely theoretical. He knows how to be charming and is naturally charismatic, but he doesn't intuitively understand the hype around sex and is largely not a fan of sex itself. However, he figured out a long time ago that flirting is banter + flattery + occasional glances at someone's lips, and he's been weaponizing that knowledge—and the fact that he’s considered “attractive”—ever since. Did you know that people get dumb and loose-lipped when someone pretty starts saying pretty words at them? Has no one realized this?? He feels like he's found a cheat code.

(Well, people have realized this but, it feels revolutionary to him because sex isn't on his radar in most contexts. Fortunately, he's very good at bluffing, feigning confidence, and yes-and-ing, so no one really suspects him.)

He's pretty good at getting a read on people, just in general, but when he's doing his flirting/bantering thing for information or a distraction or just for the hell of it, he will still occasionally get blindsided by someone trying to proposition him; sometimes he doesn't realize that the interaction has progressed that far, or even in that direction. At that point he's alerted by a Key Phrase like, "Do you wanna get out of here?~" and then he has to artfully make himself an exit without arousing suspicion, causing a scene, or hurting their feelings too badly. Thus, he has taught himself how to talk his way into and out of someone's bed.

All of this also makes this panel of the comic infinitely more funny. Face of a man who is WAY in over his head.

Additional notes

People think Thiago is bi because he does his flirting thing with both men and women. He's not. Thiago is just an equal opportunity manipulator. (He definitely thought he was bi for a while though.)

If you headcanon Cesar as ace as well, they're ace-ace buddies. It's part of the reason they're so in synch with / on the same wavelength as each other in OSNF. The only thing is that they don't know the other is ace. They both hear Joui's story about his makeout/hookup during the Never Have I Ever game, glance at each other, and think to themselves, "Man, allo people are crazy. At least you're one of the normal ones." Without Realizing.

Liz and Thiago get drunk one night and Thiago basically ends up coming out to Liz as ace and Liz is of course supportive but not before she (allo but hates having to deal with people for sake of a hookup) loudly complains, "GODDDDDDD YOURE SO LUCKY."
