Spike leaned back against the pillows then looked over at Buffy when she spoke, I never thought we’d be here again, She was gone, I thought I’d gotten past this but it’s like some horrible sense of deja vu. She’s asking for help?  I should help, right?  That’s what a champion would do.

It’s weird, Spike thought as he watched Crowley reach fo the television remote and strike up the streaming service.  I always wanted normal and this is... well sort normal in a very twisted sense of the word. What were we planning to watch again?  Oh yeh, that show about Big Macs... or pink is the new black? ORANGE!

Spike glanced over at Buffy for a moment and thought to himself, I don’t know whut I’m doing.  I never seem to know and I  make a mess of everything.  I wanted this, right?  I did so many horrible and good things for this.  So why the sudden questions?

Why do I drink whiskey anyway?  Higher alcohol content, burns good going down... why not drink whiskey.  Yeh, that sounds about right, Spike thought as he glanced down at the Jack Daniels in his shot glass, just before he downed it and poured himself another.
