Memories... were a strange thing. They could be fabricated or even be falsely remembered. For servants; their history was shaped by what humanity remembers of them. Sometimes; however; if their deed was great enough, the grail could record those memories for them. It had been the case for many servants around chaldea.

But there were exceptions. Servants born not from the collective memories of humanity... but by some other means. Whether it be by the corruption of the grail, or by the twsited wish of an individual. Those servants called themselves ‘Alter’. 

And here, right in front of him was one of them. 

Cu Chullain... the Child of Light. But that wasn’t quite him. There were another three running around somewhere in Chaldea. This one seemed... apathetic a lot of the time. But Gudao had a deep curiosity within him. So he just had to ask.

“Hey aniki Alter... What do you remember of your past life?”

A simple question it may have been for many... but Alters were inherently different. Their history may have not been written down at all... or they could just not have no memory of it.
