Hey all! Just came across a tweet from @radiofreetom. A Professor and instantly it reminded me of an article from my blog - Ignorance is not bliss at NirmalAsRamban.blogspot.com/2016/04/the-ignorance-is-not-bliss.html. The food in photo does not look terrible and i don't consider it as Racism what so many comments at Twitter suggest. Again its genesis is the biggest myth about Indian food. Mr Tom's friends gulps pitchers of water, sweating while eating Indian food, so they are not enjoying. Fact is spices like Turmeric, the soul of Indian food, Cumin, Fenugreek, Cardamom, Clove etc can't make food Spicy, Chili does it all. Or how people eat tablets, chews of Turmeric read Curcumin or Fenugreek or Ginger etc. Yes Chili accentuates the flavor of these Spices but you don't have to start at an Indian's level. India still produces 75% of world spices, so we eat spices with everything right from 6 months of age. Here is my 2 cents for Mr Tom. Start with #CurryFresh products which give you freedom to choose your veggie, #protein or level of Chili, Cream or Salt. Indian cuisine is so vast and diverse, you need to go through many steps to come to our level and enjoy Indian food fully. #GoCurry #curry #highpressurepasteurization #Michigan #trynewthings #impossibleburger #glutenfree #NutFree #DisruptiveEating (at Ann Arbor, Michigan) https://www.instagram.com/p/B5mGUppl-xW/?igshid=1hf0o4g19oijb
