Whenever I come back to YouTube, this is the thumbnail format I’m thinking about using for everything. No separations or different shows anymore. I found that too restrictive. I used Cursed Sight as a placeholder because, well, that just happened to be my current placeholder image when creating thumbnails. It’s a great, heart-wrenching visual novel that I suggest everyone give a try. It’s up on Steam and was created by InvertMouse. Also, I’ve played through the game and have a sixteen part playlist on my channel.
Now, for the reason I’ve slacked off on YouTube. Well, it was something I did in my own free time anyway, with the hope of one day making something out of it. Due to recent policy changes, that goal got farther away. Pretty much out of my grasp. It just kind of opened my eyes that I don’t need to dedicate myself to something that doesn’t care if I exist.
Nevertheless, I still have the itch to record play-throughs. But, I’m not going to treat it like a business. You know, I’m not going to be in the mindset that this is something I have to get done. I’m just going to be gaming for the fun of it, whenever I get around to it. Maybe that’s how it should have always been. Now, I do like schedules, so when I get back into the swing of things, there might be an attempt to keep to a schedule. Maybe an episode every Monday and Thursday. I’ll play it by ear.
The Visual Novice | Cursed Sight - #16 (ENDINGS: FINAL)
I do apologize it has taken me almost two months to post this. I mean, this is the finale to Cursed Sight and I should have kept it to schedule. Now, in the video I get emotional. Part of it was Cursed Sight being so moving. It’s a great visual novel that certainly will draw out the emotions. But at the same time, I was also going through a rough patch during the time of recording. This rough patch is part of the reason I’ve slowed down on YouTube uploads. I was seeing the writing on the wall and things just weren’t going well personally. I’m not going to get into it, but things weren’t going well in my life.
Nevertheless, I am happy to have had the opportunity to play Cursed Sight for everyone who watches my channel. It is a great visual novel. It doesn’t pull any punches. It has a certain realism to it. I could have went back and re-recorded it, stripping the emotion out of my narration and making my words clearer, but I think that would just suck the life out of what makes this episode special. You get to see emotion. You can feel the despair, and although not all of it came from the fates of the characters, that piece is still there. It was an intermixing of real life struggle and storytelling, and so I left it as is.
