I want a story where this starts to happen, and you think, "oh great, here we go again" but you're too far into the book to set it down even though you know how it ends.
But it's revealed that the male love interest is literally sucking away everything that makes the female character herself. It's how he retains his good looks/seemingly charming personality.
Then, the characters who you think are the stereotypical bullies (pink clothes/gossip/try to steal away the male love interest) pull up in a rusty truck with literally anything except a conventional weapon.
No guns or knives or anything. I'm talking steel chairs to use like in a wrestling match, perfume to burn eyes, make-up tools that look like torture devices to use as such, and using their high-pitched voices to hurt ears.
Turns out, the "bullies" are monster hunters who go around the country hunting down the creatures like the male love interest. The bully persona they have is to get close to the creatures who have only read the stereotypical romance books and are acting out of those.
The main female character then joins the girls once she's freed from the mind control and then falls in ACTUAL love with the group.

Uh I sprained my wrist 5 time within the span of four weeks and did permanent damage to it in high school and these days I just kinda live with the pain and I forget that most people dont do that untill I see a post about chronic pain
Um or I know I brought this up in an authors note but for those that dont read YDKM when I was eight years old a dog almost ripped my nose off on Easter. I fully recovered and I still love dogs but yeah that happened
A fun one I guess is that when I was born I had a purple nose caused by extra tissue in my nose. And growing up I would scowl and sometimes growl at people if they said anything about my nose (even compliments like "you have such a cute round nose") it was like an instant distaste to people if they so much as looked at my nose wrong.
I also have a spot on my face I can only partially feel, and also sends incorrect signals to my brain due to jaw surgery stretching a nerve and it never healing fully. :D

I was born on the same month as mom, in fact our birthday dates were only 5 days apart !! And my dad and older sister also share the same month for their birthdays
I liked to say/think that me and my sister were born on those dates, cause we wanted to be a good surprise for our parents
It's a little weird to celebrate my birthday without my mom now. I miss her a lot
On top of that we like making different desserts for each birthday !! My sister likes german cream pie, my dad likes lime pie and mine's a strawberry cake with cream
My mom favorite dessert was mille-feuille which I also liked it a lot. And it was always nice to enjoy it together even though I always made a mess of things
Alright last one !! Me and my mom would sometimes go to this restaurant for a snack and coffee. Except that I didn't like coffee at all (and still don't) but I loved the little cookies and chantilly that came with the coffee, and she would always let me have those

One time I was dating someone and we went to see the first fnaf movie in theaters and right before the movie started they got up and left me and went home with zero explanation. I was never able to express how upset it made me because THEY were crying about it later and I had to comfort them. Anyway I broke up with them a couple years ago lolol thank god (also I was in a shitty roxanne wolf cosplay during this whole affair)
I can turn both of my legs 180° both ways, vibrate my head like how some people can vibrate their eyes, can lean against nothing, and can put my palms face down and turn them 180°.
Dunno how well Zoey knows her prehistory, but she would definitely like the big turtles/tortoises that used to roam the land and sea.
From the giant tortoise Carbonemys to Archelon, the largest sea turtle to ever live.
She used to go to the los Angeles county natural History museum as a special treat so she can see the dinosaurs. She definitely had a big dinosaur phase and had multiple dinosaur themed birthday parties as a kid
Danny once even saved up to have her birthday at their local zoo with a reptile encounter and they brought in a snake and a turtle. The turtle immediately walked over to her and ate a cherry tomato out of her hand and that sparked her love of turtles.
Little zoey lost her god damn mind when she found out about giant prehistoric turtles.
She makes sure to take her kids to the aquarium, zoo and the national history museums to see dinosaurs. She also definitely bought one of those inflatable dinosaur costumes to quote "Create beautiful core childhood memories" unfortunately she didn't realize that to a small child it might be scary. And that a dinosaur that sounds like their Mama might make them think the dino ate them. After a lot of crying and claws the dinosaur costume didn't survive.
This was me a few hours ago! Her name is Sequoia, and she's a natural in front of the camera. There was also a box turtle named Grace who kept trying to escape her box.
Anyway, this is what came to mind when you said that Zoey went to a reptile encounter.
Such a cutie! When I did animal encounters at my zoo we had a sand boa that loves to say hi to people but he was also stupid and didn't understand things like heights or that he was up high or that people get freaked out when a snake moves it's head out to look at people.
