Yeah like it's a pretty fun movie and I would probably enjoy it a lot more if they hadn't tried to pretend it was related to the comics (kind of like i, robot? and both have pointless minor characters played by shia lebeouf wow) but because they did i'm like 'oh god the wasted opportunity'
although now with this potential guillermo del toro vertigo comics movie i'm feeling much less resentful
