“And Meowth will be just devastated,” James is saying, pacing back and forth in a green sundress, followed by Carnivine’s eyes. “The boss, using our good criminal labor for the most heinous of acts! Fools, the lot of us.”

“Carnivine..."

“No, no, you had no reason to realize - you’ve never even spoken to the man.” He pauses his stomping around to rest a hand atop its head. “I’m just glad you’re safely here with me.”

Ketheric was always aware when there were eyes on him. Whether that was a gift or a curse, he wouldn't know, but he could sense it now as he sat at the bench by the water. The General frowned, eyes shifting from side to side as he attempted to see if he had unwelcome company, but inevitably his eyes fell on what appeared to be a woman nearby.

"May I help you?" He asked, tone as polite as he could be. Not that Ketheric had much urge to be any manner of polite in this moment, but it was better to not make enemies when he hardly knew anyone at all.

bookstores were a great place to meet people; the bonding over the same love of literature, the excitement of discovering something new on a recommendation. so it could be assumed that, when one enters a bookstore, there's ample readiness to be social.

except for a certain redhaired wizard, who has no interest in meeting people, or socializing, or speaking to anybody he deigned beneath him, a bookstore wasn't anything except... well, a haven for books.

so when his hand touches another- another hand reaching for the same book as him on the shelf- he can't help but be a bit surprised, looking over to see just who would want the same tome as him.
